Back to the Real World!

Matt and I just got back from Gatlinburg, TN where my grandparents have a time share. We had an excellent time with family. We hiked several trails. On one trail when Matt and I rounded the curve we saw a big black bear staring us in the face.
Also while we were there we went to see the musical The Miracle. If you guys like shows or musicals this one was great. It was about the life of Christ. It was definitely theatrical but also a really great presentation of the gospel.
I love going on vacations but it is always so hard to come back and "get back to the grind" as my dad says. The Lord has blessed Matt and I in tremendous ways. I just pray that I learn to be thankful in all of life situations. Thankful for both the vacations and the "grinds" of life! Ephesians 5:20

Hey!

Ok so I've never blogged before but I wanted a way that friends and family can better keep up with us. Matt and I live now in Memphis, IN where we have bought our first home. We love being here but greatly miss our family and friends back home in MS. Yes, Matt and I still consider the great state of Mississippi our home.

Matt just finished his second year at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. For those of you who know Matt, he still doesn't know what he wants to be when he "grows up". He is strongly considering the pastorate or teaching. What a change! The Lord can truly change a person! If any of you guys knew Matt in either college or highschool the last thing anyone thought he would be was a teacher!

I, Melanie, am a nurse in Louisville, KY. I work at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth hospital in the Medical/Surgical area of nursing. I truly love helping those in need.

Matt and I also serve at a local church FBC Henryville, IN. Matt is the youth/associate minister there. Unfortunately, we will not be able to continue to serve at this church. Matt is going to step down in order to focus on his education.
