For those of you who don't know Matt and I are expecting our first baby at the end of February!! We are both very excited and very nervous. The baby and I are fine. Other than being nervous and picking his nails so is Matt!!
I did learn that I have a blood clotting disorder and have to take shots twice a day. The story is an awesome example of God's plan and sovereignty!! My dad had a blood clot in May. They really didn't know what caused it but continued to treat it. When I went to my first OB appointment I had to fill out a questionaire. One of the questions was about anybody in your family having a blood clot. The Lord really directed me to a good OB who decided to check for this rare disorder.
How awesome is God's timing!! Although at the time my dad didn't know why he got that clot, if he hadn't got it then something might have happened to me or the baby! At times in our life we may not understand why we have to go through certain things but as Jerry Bridges in his wonderful book puts it, "that which should distinguish the suffering of unbelievers from unbelievers is the confidence that our suffering is under the control of an all-powerful and all-loving God; our suffering has meaning and purpose in God's eternal plan, and He brings or allows to come into our lives only that which is for His glory and our good." How beautiful and encouraging are these words! Praise the Lord that He is in control of everything in our lives both good and bad!!!
Aunt T filled me in about the clotting disorder. So happy that you have a DR who is on top of things! I love that circumstances in our lives don't take God by surprises. He already knows the outcome. We are so excited for you guys!
ReplyDeleteI pray for you and the baby often, also her daddy. My prayer is for ya'll to be safe, healthy, and at peace. I, too, am glad you have a physician on top of things. Lots of prayers are being prayed by many people for ya'll.
